Orkut- See this story
javascript to view protected albums in Orkut. Usually I never click on
those, but was checking something in browser and clicked on the wrong
tab (clicked on javascript)
It opened something like a hacking tutorial. I immediately closed it,
and guess what ?
I was subscribed to 28 communities !!!
I couldn't not belive it, all were SRK, Sachin fan etc. I got mad and
preses unjoin one by one and finally got rid of that.
That was not the end.
When I checked my friends sccrap I saw a scrap written by me !!! That
said click here to view protected albums, then another javascript. I
was really worried. That click not only subscribed 28 communities to
my community list plus it wrote scrapin the scrapbook of about 60
friends They will think its me written that. Had to open each scrap
book to delete it
Please do not click on such script / link etc. I am very careful
usually and clicking in the morning was a mistake from me, anyway
thought I will leave a warning.
Anyone had this experience today ?
Note : Please do not check this site as I have no clue what is there,
may be teh javascript resides there, was there in the link -
geocities.com/sawansite
So if you see that in a link, do not click.

Think about this: If you do these tricks the new menus can not be
erased after the procedure. But it's not dangerous or harmful for your
phone To enable the headset-function, you have to short-circuit the
"3" and "4". After a short time there is "Headset" on the display Now,
menu 3-6 is now enabled!
To enable the carkit-function you have to short-circuit the "4" and
"5". After a short time, "Car" is shown on the display and the menu
3-7 is enabled!! This Trick is for you how want to hear more then your
supposed to ! If you short-circuit the left and the right contact with
the middle contact ("3", "6" and "9") the Nokia Software hangs! The
profile "Headset" will be activated. Before you do this, just active
the "auto call receive" function in the headphone profile and set the
ringing volume to "mute" Now you can use your phone for checking out
what people are talking about in a room. Place the phone somewhere
stratidic and call your phone! The phone receives the call without
ringing and you can listen to what people are talking about!

After installing the software change the network setting(menu->setting->system setting) to direct internet. Now enjoy free surfing EVEN DIRECT REPLY SCRAP IN ORKUT .Now surfing only download coming soon, for wap site use t9space to surf safely!***Remember this work only for models which support java internet(like opera mini) eg:nokia 6630, 6680 ,n70,n73,and many other small and large models, most soney ericson models....BUT NOT IN 6600,7610...***.
IF THIS TRICK NOT WORKS,THEESE ARE THE POSSIBLE REASONS!!
1.THE MOST IMPORTANT IS YOUR PHONE DOES NOT SUPPORT GPRS IN **JAVA**WEB BROWSER
2.WRONG SETTING
YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE SETTINGS IN APPLICATION MANAGER TOO ...LIKE EDIT USER DATA,READ USER DATA
3.NOT WORKING IN YOUR REGION[rare chance, because i have got positive feed back from most part of inda]

Samsung SGH-i450
One look and I was sure this is a Nokia phone with Samsung written on it! Obviously I was wrong, but the i450 seems less Samsung and more Nokia. Moreover, the phone runs on Symbian 60. But giving Samsung no credit for its own phone would be wrong. The phone does have Samsung's odd quirks. Let me explain...
Design
The design is truly a cross between the N81 and the N95. What with the dual slider design and a very Nokia-like form factor, you would say the same thing. Having said that, there's absolutely no reason why you should hate the phone.
The dual slide may not be original, but it works smoothly nevertheless, and appears quite sturdy too. Sliding the front reveals a navy blue keypad with evenly spaced and responsive keys. The keys are placed on a flat surface with arty ridges dividing them. Nice! The speakers are visible when you slide the phone down. A cool touch-sensitive navigation pad amidst the speakers means you can use it while surfing your music folder. It works fine, even if responsiveness is low.
Hot-swap for memory cards is a good thing. The volume keys are right above the memory slot on the left, while the camera key is on the right. Now to quirk number one: the 3.5mm earphone jack. It's nice to have a 3.5mm jack that lets you listen to music while the phone is charging. But you cannot use the jack to talk via headsets. It's purely for music and that's it! Which primarily means you will have juggle between the earphones (while listening to music) and the handsfree headset (for talking, of course) every time you get a call. Beats all logic!
Features and Performance
As I mentioned earlier, the i450 runs on Symbian 60 series version 3.1. It's remarkably like most Nokia phones (with the same OS), with minor personalization. The UI is non-complex, and the fact that the phone is fast helps considerably.
The 2.4-inch screen boasts 240 x 320 pixels and isn't very reflective. Of course, under bright sunshine you will be staring at yourself most of the times, so avoid doing it. The phone has 40MB of built-in memory, which can be extended using microSD cards.
There's very little to thrash the phone, as it does what it's meant to do. The i450 is a quad-band phone that supports 3G (no use here). I would have liked to see Wi-Fi, but had to settle for GPRS and EDGE. The inbuilt browser is cool, but no multiple pages. The phone supports many third party applications, courtesy S60.
The i450 comes loaded with Real Player for videos and also a Flash player, but what I like is that Samsung has also bundled support for Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Music and Camera
The external speakers provided with the phone certify that it's a music phone. I don't differ. Though not remarkable, the sound quality is pretty likeable. You won't get this baby to go very loud, but enough to make the music rightfully audible. Not having EQ sucks though! The music player supports wma, mp3, aac, ogg and asf formats. It supports A2DP profile.
The 3.5mm jack is a plus point, and getting a good set of earphones will only be a boon. The phone has FM radio, with a decent reception. But the built-in speakers (the reason for the dual slide) is absolutely useless. Assuming you live in a quiet neighborhood, you still wouldn't like the fact the music comes out garbled.
The 2MP camera is, in all honesty, very basic. To begin with there's very little tweaking with the kind of shots you can take; and secondly all the pictures have a certain fluorescent tinge. This is because there are issues with the white balance metering system it uses.
The sensor clearly does a bad job of getting the right hue. Night shots are facilitated by an onboard flash, which works only when the shutter release button is pressed. So in the relative safety of dark places you have to aim using only your wits.
Battery and Verdict
The battery is decent if there's minimal usage. If you use the phone for browsing or even flash (for the camera) you will be left with very little battery for anything else. I used the phone to talk a lot, and I had to charge the phone twice.
The phone costs Rs 13,250 and for this price you can also go for an SE W580i or a Nokia 5610, both music phones. The camera is elementary and there's no Wi-Fi connectivity. On the other hand, I like the form factor, the phone is fast, and the music player decent. Apart from this, there's nothing much that sets it apart.

Motorola Motoyuva W230
It’s great to see mobile phone manufacturers incorporating multiple features into low-end handsets targeted at the entry-level segment. The Motoyuva W230 is a slight upgrade from the previous Motoyuva that was simply a basic radio mobile. The new version promises to be a step ahead by incorporating an MP3 player. But does it deliver? Here are my findings on the W230.
Design
I rather liked the candybar design of the W230; it’s ergonomic and lightweight. Unlike some other basic models, the W230 doesn’t have an often-hard-to-use rubberized keypad. It has a 2.5mm earphone socket on one side and the miniUSB charging / PC docking port on the other. The speakers are on the top. The 1.3 inch CSTN display has a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and 65k colors.
The W230 sits comfortably in your hand. I liked the design from all angles except for the fact that it lacks a hot-swap slot for the microSD card. Of course if you do buy a 1GB microSD card it’s not like you’ll be removing it often, but it helps to have an easier facility, doesn’t it?
Features and Performance
The W230 is a simple phone, so it doesn’t offer any extravagant features. However, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t try to deliver. From the Media point of view the W230 seems VFM. The FM radio is easy to use and has superb reception, even while commuting inside the train. It includes auto scanning and setting presets.
Sadly, it didn’t seem to be able to save the channels correctly and ended up saving the same channels twice. You might as well set the frequency, fine-tune it, and save the presets yourself by holding down a number key on the keypad that will correspond to the channel preset. It’s a cinch. There's also a recording feature for the radio.
The MP3 player is strictly a no-frills job. It has a simple interface and the handsets nav-pad can be used as controls for the player. The output is not too loud but the quality of sound from the bundled earphones are decent. It supports MIDI, MP3 and AMR formats. The player also allows users to create their own playlists.
Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology has been incorporated into this handset, and I checked it out. Though the person at the other end could hear me just fine, I found the line less than spectacular. of course, it could be an issue with just this particular piece. I hope so.
Other now-established features include games like Sudoku and Tetris, calendar, stopwatch, calculator and alarm clock. What it lacks is a currency converter and a world clock application. It supports GPRS and WAP for net connectivity, and there's a loudspeaker for handsfree conversations. Battery life is not great but it's adequate – a full charge lasted me a day and a half with music, FM, messaging and a few calls. About 6 hours or so of talk would deplete the battery.
The Bottomline
The Motoyuva W230 is an entry-level handset that is simple and easy to use. It costs Rs 3,240, and considering it comes with a decent MP3 player and FM radio with good reception, it’s worth it. There are enough basic features, and with GPRS as bonus, plenty of users will be happy with this handset.

Speed up your internet by 20%
You can get it back:
Click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This opens the group policy editor. Then go to:
Local Computer Policy
then Computer Configuration
then Administrative Templates then Network then QOS Packet Scheduler and then to Limit Reservable Bandwidth.
Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e."By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

5 useful Opera tricks
The usual procedure to open links in a new tab is right clicking on a link and then selecting "Open in new tab" or "Open in background tab". Now here is the shortcut. Press SHIFT while clicking on a link to open in a new tab and SHIFT+CTRL to open in a background tab. This works for the context menu options as well. For example, highlight a word, right click on it and then click Search while pressing SHIFT will open the search page in an new tab. Similarly, pressing SHIFT+CTRL will open the search page in a background tab. The same thing happens with "Go to URL" option.
2. Alternate shortcut for PageUP/PageDown
If you are right-handed then you are holding the mouse with your right hand while your left hand is near or on the keyboard. So keyboard shortcuts which are nearer to the left hand are easier to execute than shortcuts which are towards the right. This is the reason why some games have WASD key combination for movement and the mouse for attack. In Opera, to scroll up a page instead of using PageUP press SHIFT+SPACEBAR. To scroll down press SPACEBAR.
3. CTRL+Mouse Wheel to Zoom
The shortcuts for zooming pages is the Numpad+ and Numpad-. For the same reason stated above these keys are difficult to reach. Instead, press the CTRL key and use the mouse scroll wheel to quickly zoom pages in and out.
4. CTRL+Click to save an image
Want to save an image? Press CTRL while clicking on an image to open the Save as box. Give a name and hit Enter.
5. CTRL+Spacebar to open homepage
If you’ve set a homepage in Opera, you can open it quickly by pressing Press CTRL+Spacebar.

Convert Your N73 To N73M
Here is what we do, step by step: Firstly, remember to back up
your data from the phone to the Memory card like that:
Tools/memory card/options/backup phone memory.
1. download that software tool NSS (Nemesis Service Suite) (NSS103812)
2. Extract the tool from the archive and install it.
3. Connect ur N73 to the PC via data cable.
4. Now open NSS tool, in the upper right corner there is an icon
in a shape of "magnifier", press it to find your attached device.
In the upper left corner is a button "info", press it to find
out your phone firmware code. It should be something like
0538……..
5. Now instead of the existing code write some of the follows:
0537289 Euro 1
0539193 France
0539207 Alps
0539239 Euro 2
0539256 Turkey
0539265 south Africa
0539269 Scandanavia
0539278 Baltains
0539279 Russia
0539284 Ukraine
0539285 Bulgaria
0539289 Hungary
0539291 Balkans
0539293 Greece/Cypurs
0539294 Lebanon
0539295 Gulf
0539298 Israel
0539299 Romania
0539343 Chinese, English
0539346 Philippines,English, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipino
0539349 Australia/New Zealand,English, Indonesia, Malaysia,
Philipino
0539352 Indonesia -> English, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipino
0539354 India/Vietnam -> English, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipino
0539351Thailand -> English, Thai
0539341 Belarus (sorry guys, those are all the codes, that I
know, there are many more for every region of the world)
6. After u enter the desired code in the "Product code" field
press the "Write" button below. That's it for now - exit the NSS
tool software.
The first part of the update is done, guys, now follow the
second.
1. Without disconnecting your phone from the PC, go here to download Nokia Software Updater: NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER PAGE
http://europe.nokia.com/A4176089
2. Install it on your PC and run it.
3. Follow the steps on NSU. That's all!
REMEMBER:
1. YOUR PHONE SHOULD NOT BE IN OFFLINE MODE (ACCORDING TO ME SILENT
MODE IS THE BEST WHILE DOING THIS SO NO ONE DISTURBS YOU AS THE
VIBRATION CAN DISCONNECT UR PHONE )
2. THE NEW FIRMWARE COULD BE ABOVE 70-76 MB AND UR PHONE SHOULD
NOT BE DISCONNECTED AT ANY TIME IN THE PROCESS (BECAUSE IT MAY
COMPLETELY RUIN YOUR PHONE)
3. ITS NOT RISKY (WORKED OUT REALLY WELL IN MY N73)
4.YOU MAY NOT ROLL BACK TO THE OLD N73 !
In the end u should have a brand new N73 Music Edition with new
Music Player and 2-3 new themes
Now get your phone data from the backed up file on MMC like that:
Tools/Memory Card/Options/Restore from card.
Congratulations now you can enjoy the enhanced N73 ME..
Difference Between Nokia N73 and N73ME
